Relendex is a peer-to-peer (P2P) commercial real estate lending platform. Our efficient online exchange connects lenders with professionally vetted, creditworthy borrowers and provides excellent interest rates to both. All funds lent on the Relendex exchange are secured on UK commercial property.
Since the 2008 financial crisis, SME housebuilders, previously so critical to creating the nation’s housing stock, have been left starved of cash by banks who have largely pulled out of this market. Meanwhile, the vast majority of UK savers are losing money in savings accounts that pay well below the rate of inflation. In 2013, we established Relendex because we believed we could harness one problem to solve the other.

Paul joined Relendex’s senior management team, having been a significant lender on our platform. Paul qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1982 and has had a successful career as both a working CFO and as a backer of start-up businesses. Paul’s principle roles at Relendex are to ensure that we continuously improve our Lender’s’ experience, enhance our reputation and develop the products that serve the needs of both our Lenders and Borrowers. Max has over 30 years’ experience in the retail financial services industry, focussed on the development and marketing of pensions, alternative investment schemes, and insurance products.
After a number of years working for international financial institutions including Standard Life he established a well-known City IFA and tax accountancy firm and went on to become Chairman of a firm of actuaries and consultants and Chief Executive of one of the leading SSAS and SIPP Providers in the UK.

He was a Corporate Finance Executive with Charterhouse Group (now part of HSBC) and also held responsibility for a large commercial and industrial property portfolio owned by the bank, acting as a Director of a number of its European subsidiaries.
Most of his career has been devoted to the Financial Services sector, where he has been a Founder, CEO or senior director of regulated businesses, including general and life insurance and pension investment.

Martin is a specialist property finance banker with over 20 years’ experience at leading UK financial institutions.
He has held underwriting and deal origination roles to senior management level with Barclays, Nationwide, N M Rothschild and Anglo Irish Bank, exclusively in property finance with his knowledge and experience extending across all of the sectors, deal ticket sizes and type, be it investment, development and mezzanine finance.
